BUILT GREEN® – Healthy Homes
We build healthy, energy-efficient, and sustainable homes, and you don’t have to take our word for it. We are proud to be a member of Built Green Canada, a third-party certification program that authenticates our homes to be healthy, energy-efficient, and sustainable. In fact, we’re consistently hitting the Built Green® Platinum certification, which is the highest achievement available through the program. This also allows our homes to have the Energuide rating with a Built Green Seal.
Economic Benefits
If you build an energy-efficient home with us, you can expect to save between 50 and 100% on your utilities. Sustainable homes with green mechanical systems also require less maintenance, which will save you money on repairs.
Homes with green certification are worth roughly 10% more than homes without and homes certified through Built Green are also eligible for up to 15% in savings on home insurance through CMHC and Genworth.
Health Benefits
Ventilation and air quality are of upmost importance to both us and Built Green. When you build a home certified through this program, you will have the peace of mind that it will foster you and your family’s health, and not degrade it.
This includes options like VOC and toxin-free building materials, third-party certified floor coverings, and Heat Recovery Ventilators that circulate air and remove allergens—contributing to improved air quality and fewer toxins and dust in the air.

Residential energy produces 15% of GHG emissions in Canada, and when you build Green, you’re taking a huge step to reduce your carbon footprint.
It’s not only your home’s energy consumption and production that will be better for the environment, but also the materials used. Materials are locally sourced, and certified to be sustainable.
Built Green + EnerGuide
Built Green is a 2-in-1 in the sense that when you certify your home, you’ll also receive an EnerGuide label from Natural Resources Canada. When you receive a Built Green seal, you’ll know your EnerGuide rating will be great.
The EnerGuide Rating System, or ERS is a gauge that tells you the cost to operate your home. It proves the savings you will have. The lower the number, the bigger the savings. If there is no label, there is no proof of the savings in that home.
